who am I -- 

Hi. I think this is the place where people usually tell you how cute and good looking they are. Seems that I am no exception to this behavior ;-). Million dollar job offers should go here.Currently I am working for a company called Siemens IT Solutions and Services as a senior vice president for it-outsourcing.

I am a computer nerd. I have been working at Siemens and its subsidiaries for quite a few years now.

In the past I have done various line management jobs for E-Business and Internet service units within Siemens, Servicemanagement for Internet services, consulting for Internet Services and Firewalls, playing around with routers, firewall software, UNIX and NT Boxes, WWW CGI Programming and related stuff like project management for large IT and network projects, SQL database programming, C-programming, Perl, UNIX hacking in its different flavors (SUN OS/Solaris, IRIX, LINUX my personal favorite) and a lot of network administration. Sometimes I am the maintainer of the NETWORK Frequently Asked Questions (a local copy can be found here) and the mailing list admin for a Firewall Mailing list (most of the time I'm not) ;-) . If there is some time left I am teaching Internet admin starter and advanced classes and firewall techniques for system administrators.

Besides my job I love my wife Karina, my two children Hannah and Jana, Sushi, California, Italy, Rock & Blues-Music, guitar playing and home recording, going to the movies, meeting friends, running, swimming, cycling, workouts in my torture chamber in the basement, reading books and comics, ...
